🎯The Corridor of Uncertainty 🎯 @CoachPrunt described the space between the GK & the backline as the "corridor of uncertainty." When the defense drops back & leaves this gap open, it often leads to confusion & miscoordination between the GK and CBs—a perfect spot to exploit.

What is soccer about? Is it about receiving the ball? At times, it's about receiving the ball; at others, it's about benefiting my teammate. But the game is always about interaction. Great sequence of Lewandoski and Gundogan.

THE PLAYERS NUMBERS AFFECT YOUR DRILL. Depending on the players' numbers, we often find different solutions. Equal number ➡️ player's 1V1 & Socio-affective. +1 Attacker ➡️Dribble to Attract & Numerical Advantage. +2 Attackers ➡️ Pass to the Free & Positional Advantage

In finishing actions, we need to focus on two key interactions: 🔹 Possessor & Receiver 🔹 Attackers vs. Defenders We can progressively enhance these skills by introducing varied scenarios with increasing complexity, helping our players improve step-by-step.

3V1X2 Teams Warm-Up Rondo 2 simultaneous Rondos were played at the same time for 90 seconds. The team aimed to complete four passes as much as possible (4 passes = 1 Point). To disrupt the other team, 1 or 2 players can shift into the opposing half to recover the ball. Ready?

Once the players acquire a certain level of ball mastery, the next step is to understand "Why" they use the technical actions. Technical Action + Tactical Intention = Effective Technique Application

A common mistake during the defensive drills is not rewarding or providing the option to counterattack. It's not about cutting the attack but starting your offense.

Lamine Yamal and Monaco's goals came from a similar pattern: an inverted winger cutting inside. The GK naturally shifts towards the far post as the winger dribbles inward. A shot through the legs often becomes the optimal finish if the defender fails to cover the near post.

🧵 Replying to a Coach's DM 📥 "The players struggle to understand the drill's rules, which delays getting to the coaching point. The activity took too long, & I only managed 2 out of 3 drills in 1.5 hours. Should I focus on introducing only one new drill in each session?" 🧐👇

Over the years, I've noticed a key to effective training: How you introduce the drill. Place players directly and show an example for quicker assimilation and smoother execution.

The final mistake centers around drill complexity. While unopposed drills can help build confidence, gradually adding layers of difficulty, like partial defenders, to mirror game intensity is essential. The right level of challenge pushes players toward improvement.

Problems, often in a collective or associative way, but the reality is that the game can be solved individually, winning the space and the duel. The Target Player, with the capacity to win the space, hold the ball, and let the team advance, is an underrated role and👇

We will not develop these abilities with numerical advantages & rondos. Players need a challenge. They need IQ to solve situations & individual capacities to win their duels. In a game where day by day is more man-marking oriented, some specific abilities must be improved.

Drill Analysis | The best option? Once we consider the drill's effectiveness, we must consider the players' opportunities to achieve the objective. If the drill's objective is to improve dribbling in multiple directions, is this the best option? 🧵
