Today is a very important day; I became a Brit. I now belong fully to a country, which gave so much to me and where I felt welcomed from beginning. Getting full citizen rights of the (still) UK, but also taking on all responsibilities and duties is a wonderful feeling.

Exactly 300 y ago on Good Friday Bach brought his Johannes-Passion to life as it has been performed for the first time at Nikolaikirche Leipzig. I am so grateful for being part of these performances together with Bach’s Thomanerchor, ⁦ @Gewandhaus ⁩ & wonderful colleagues.

Another week back at Mozartfest Würzburg w Les Talens Lyriques/Christophe Rousset at Residenz Würzburg performing Mozart‘s Cosí fan tutte under the ceilings of GB Tiepolo & the architecture of B Neumann. In the rehearsal breaks there are rarely nicer places to hang out than here.

Today, on Holocaust day, the German TV channel @welt TV broadcasts at 8:05pm (German time) a 60 minute film of Fahidi Éva. A film crew accompanied us last year for a few days. It’s in German and you get an impression of one of the most wonderful people I have ever met in life.

It’s 79 years since the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp. The international Auschwitz Comité & Landesvertretung Niedersachsen remembered last Sunday all victims of the Holocaust, particularly also our wonderful Fahidi Éva. It was an honour being & singing there.

I have never been to the region Asiago before but it really is stunning. 57 years ago the organist of the town created this Asiagofestival which now is organised by the third generation of this family. Last Sunday I was invited to perform there with marvellous José Gallardo.

Very excited about this new musical partnership with pianist @JorgeViladoms and our programme WANDERLUST with German Lieder with Latin American Art Song. There is so much new repertoire for me to discover. Tonight we start our Mexican tour at Teatro Ricardo Castro in Durango.

Have you ever been to Teotihuacán? I rarely saw something more impressive, particularly from a hot air balloon, even if it meant to wake up very early. Certainly a day I shall never forget!
