In case anyone is interested: I spoke with my tax consultant earlier this week. We're planning on submitting my taxes at the end of the year with Bitcoin treated as a foreign currency (no tax on spending, only speculation). If the tax office disagrees, we're going to sue them.

Update in my ongoing medical saga for anyone who cares: The tumour was definitely cancerous... *but* it doesn't appear to have spread and they probably successfully cut it all out. Regular scans required for the next few years, but as long as they show nothing, I'm in the clear.

@AntDickinson @qikipedia It's a parasite called toxoplasma gondii. It's associated with risk taking. The thought is, that if it infects mice, rats and other small prey, they'll take more risks that get them caught by cats. Humans starting companies (risky) is just an unintended side effect.

Today's the day I go in to hospital, and tomorrow's the day they use a cool surgery robot to remove a large part of (or potentially all of) my right kidney. Kidneys filter blood. There's a lot of potential for blood loss with kidney surgery. They'll have a lot of spare.

The popular version of this is wrong and it's been bugging me. At i=10 and beyond, it produces fractional sats, which don't exist and so deviates from the actual Bitcoin monetary policy. By the final halving at i=32, it's wrong by a total of 2065528 sats.

Milei looks to be the next leader of Argentina. He’s strongly pro Bitcoin, which is great. He’s apparently broadly pro freedom concerning sexual and gender identity, which should be good, but there may be some big caveats there.
