AX ended, and we got 29 BL titles announced during these four days (not necessarily in AX). I am amazed! Compared to where BL was back in 2020, BL has really grown as a demographic here. We got new publishers. There are two titles not here bc they were AX exclusives, for now ๐Ÿคž.

@KNIFE_TWINK I don't see it here, but for anyone new to BLs, I highly recommend MADK. Someone who loves seinen would love it too. It has monster/demon f*king and is weird and just reminds me of gritty seinens. I cant wait for the MC to become the demon's leader. I love the art & the weirdness

@gomanga Please address the TL @gomanga . In the Japanese edition Hiura uses boku which is use often by men. The character sheet translated admits he us a boy. Your TL uses "came out" when translating henshin ๅค‰่บซ which means transform/makeover. Implying he is trans. Please fix it!

@gomanga Like, "onnanoko" is in parenthesis here in the original emphasizing the "girl" part. He is still uses boku here. The next page when he goes to school crossdressign, your TL made it seem like he was coming out as trans. You also started changing pronouns.

I also went to the @yenpress booth and saw in display our dear Yuri Manga. It looks so good ๐Ÿ˜ญ. I was hoping they have copies to sell ๐Ÿฅบ but they don't. Also, the color is similar to the Japan edition. A pic from the Kinokuniya booth that has the JP edition.

@yuki_white12 @InkloreBooks Thanks for the review. I haven't read my copy yet, but it seems they just wanted a quick cash grab by entering into manga. Like, PRH literally distributes the titles of many manga publishers. You would think they would do market research and check what works for the others...

I usually do mass order/preorder of titles and this B&N sale really put a hit on my wallet lol. The saving grace is that B&N doesn't charge until it ships and they ship as they come. Also, shipping is free. & bc am a member I get stamps (x2 for this sale) which means I save more.

This is very interesting. So rights to the book were transfer from fromRed to Futabansha, so sales of that edition of the book has stopped and they will released a new edition with new content in October. They list the foreign publishers, so I assume TokyoPop will too do it(?)

Omg! A sequel ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ. Palace of the Omega which was licensed by SuBLime will have a sequel โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ. The main storyline has two volumes and will come out in English next year. I hope SuBLime gets the sequel too once it gets published in Japan.

Am still waiting for @TOKYOPOP to announce their next Korean BL ๐Ÿ˜ญ. Hyperventilation and On or Off where announced back in February 2022, and since then they haven't announced any new BL manhwa licenses ๐Ÿ˜ญ. It makes me question wether they did not sell as much as they expected.

Had time to sit down and take a break. As I said, Inklore gave me an Advance Reader Copy, and the TL is from TappyToon, which is cool imo as the TL is good. So no surprises there. The lettering is so much better here, and all sounds are properly TLed.

Please, if you like Canis and want Canis: The Speaker add it to the form. Maybe if they see the interest in the title they decide to do this spin-off to Canis. Canis: The Speaker is soo good.

During AnimeJapan, people voted on Mangas they would like to see animated. The Chil-Chil site listed the top 10 BL titles voted in this category. Tied for 10th place was Hirano and Kagiura published by @yenpress and Kiraide Isasete which @gomanga will publish this year.

@MiaLeeSakura @gomanga Is not really. If you read the later volumes, Hiura multiple times confirms he is a boy. He me mentions it multiple times. Is not that he wants to be a girl, is that he wants to appeal to Mida bc he thinks Mida likes him as a "girl" which later is a huge part of the plot.

Inklore always disappoints. What do they mean they are doing the 16+ when Haga has released the mature edition online. The Korean print edition is 16+, but that doesn't mean they cannot add the mature panels to the English edition. Gosh! Inklore really does the bare minimum ๐Ÿ’€

A new BL title by TokyoPop!!! Novel and manga --- an ongoing Manga it seems. It also has a J-drama. I have seen the covers before and the art is gorgeous. The novel has three volumes and side stories. @silkentofu1 a Chara title. Had we had one before?

I hope is another publisher. Junรฉ is taking so long to reprint Ai no Kusabi and second hand/use copies are being exploited in the market. Like look at these prices ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ’€. However, Ibelieve it is Junรฉ who renew their license ๐Ÿ˜ญ since they still owe the copies for the Kickstarter

The founder of BLoved Publishing said they wanted to buy the English license for Ai no Kusabi again but another publisher already beat them to it, so there's definitely a possibility of the series getting re-published in English. It's just a matter of when waaaahhhhhh ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Manga mail: I am now pre-ordering all my @TOKYOPOP titles since neither Kino or B&N ever carry the recent titles in store - sometimes for weeks. Thankfully I did bc I got these in the mail ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ™Œ. I have been looking forward to reading the PupetterxHoly Knight one.
