Friday, 2/28/20 around 2:30pm-3pm, two (2) F-18 will perform a flyover along the Hudson. Aircraft will be low at approximately 2,500’. There is NO cause for alarm.

BFD Saves Life During Quinn-FF’s on downed wires call were alerted to a man down nearby, from apparent heart attack while shoveling snow. FF’s performed CPR and used Defibrillator to restore patient’s heart rhythm. Kudos to Tower Ladder 1 crew for great work!!

BFD to the rescue this AM, when a family of ducklings dropped into a storm drain. SQ5 & TL2 were able to retrieve all the ducklings and reunite them with momma!

NYC will be holding large fireworks display tonight at 9:15pm to celebrate the end of all Covid restrictions. This display will be visible and audible in Bayonne. No cause for alarm.

BPD Officers used plainclothes detail to identify motorists that fail to stop for pedestrians in crosswalks. Chief Geisler says BPD will continue these details to help ensure pedestrian safety.

*FLYOVER ADVISORY* - On Thursday (5/24) at around 8:45am, 6 US Navy F/A-18 Jets will perform a flyover of our waterfront area. Jets are expected to enter near the Verrazano and fly north along the Hudson River to the Tappan Zee.

Members of BFD TL1 stepped up today to rescue a kitten who had become trapped in the wheel well of a car. Took awhile, but FF were able to safely remove the shy kitten and get her to a vet.
