Last Friday, 10 days after being in self-isolation, symptoms started to kick in with fever, headache, shortness of breath, chest pain. Two days ago I was "presumed positive for #COVID19 ". I'm 38 and pretty healthy and this stuff really is something else. Stay safe!

I am a bit overwhelmed. Someone Actually translated my book into French. That means, there is a non-vanishing number of people who find it interesting enough to put work into it. Also, seeing my words in a language I barely speak, blows my mind.

I might be mistaken but a strong feeling sneaks in. People seem to believe that once the “curve is flattened”, we are done and can start again with everything. That’s what you get when you treat education like an American game show. People get intellectually abandoned.

In almost every workshop there is this one loud guy who tries to show the other’s that he (let’s face it) is better/knows more than the teacher. It’s annoying. I forgot how fucking annoying it is for those wanting to learn in that workshop. Being at a MentalHealthFirstAid course.

It’s interesting for me. In my perception most people who claim to do sexual ropes tie in a way that looks very “Circus’y”. Just less clothes, and creepy. Also, funny how in some minds there’s either sexual or circus. I mean, I feel very sorry for you if you can’t imagine more.

Every time I see pictures hyping bubble-mixing photo shoots with no masks and no distancing I feel one of my eyes start to twitch. I haven’t hugged my sick mother in months because of covid. Covid kills nurses, and I’m a nurse. My spouse had it, it was terrifying. Fuck you.

Weird experience with language: I am now living for more than 5 years in a foreign language environment. One simple sentence, no deep meaning but it felt as if I’ve entered some new stage. ‘I’ve already had a shower’ felt as if I’d uttered it in my “mother tongue”. Suddenly.

Single and double column ties are at the beginning of rope bondage. From there practitioners depart rather quickly to more complicated stuff only to come back years later to see how much can be done with so little. Tonight: single and double column ties. 😉

I had a dream of a weeks-long rope intensive with a final exam and people didn’t pass and I told them that it doesn’t mean they can’t do ropes, it just means they can’t run around saying they have learned and understood the bare minimum of what I’m teaching. The outcry was huge.
