I do wish Andrew Wilson on the BBC would stop repeating "there's no PR system in the world with a majority" - I can't speak to this exact moment in time, but for example, in 2011 when the SNP won their majority, both Spain and Croatia also elected majority governments via PR.

A naturally muted anniversary, given the circumstances, but today marks 25 years since Scotland voted overwhelmingly in favour of establishing the Scottish Parliament. The devolution referendum passed almost 3 to 1 (74.3% vs 25.7%), with all 32 council areas voting in favour.

Humza Yousaf on his way out as First Minister. Using a unit he mentioned last week, his time in office lasted just over 8 Liz Trusses. Ending the BHA, specifically *in the way that he did*, will go down as one of the worst lapses in judgement in Scottish political history.

The issue of 16 year old candidates is a difficult one and one I don't yet have a view on, but the general tenor of this column is yet another instance of the absolute contempt that older generations hold youth in when it comes to democracy. Appalling.

SNP Majority in Dundee. We've yet to get the declaration for the final ward, but the SNP are on 14 seats in Dundee at the moment. They only need to win 1 more now, and unless something has gone wildly wrong for them in the Ferry, that should be in the bag. #BBSLE22 #LES22 ^AF

I'd take it as a personal kindness if elected representatives, at a time when fellow LGBTI+ elected representatives are receiving death threats and have to carry alarms with them at all times due to the climate, stopped actively contributing to the rising tide of queerphobia.

Whatever your view on a future referendum, the reason Scotland is still having this constitutional debate is because *the people of Scotland* have consistently voted since 2014 in such a way as to keep the issue live. Nobody has to LIKE that, but we do have to UNDERSTAND it.
