Greg Gard recruited the HS player of the year in Wisconsin (Jonathan Davis), SD (Matthew Mors), Neb (Chucky Hepburn) and Michigan (Lorne Bowman). Is that good ?
Friendly reminder:
According to KenPom, the 2014-15 Wisconsin Badgers adjusted offensive efficiency of (129.0) is still the most efficient offense in college basketball history.
Never forget.
Greg Gard has guaranteed Wisconsin a double bye in the Big Ten tournament, one win away from regular season Big Ten champs, and became the second fastest coach in school history to 100 wins all in a season of adversity and turmoil. Greg Gard is the Big Ten coach of the year.
Alando Tucker deserves so much credit for the work he’s done with this team. His word and credibility really resonate with the players. Coach Tuck is the man.
Bo Ryan won 747 games in college: a school-record 364 at Wisconsin. His Badger teams never finished lower than fourth in the Big Ten, never missed the NCAA tournament. Ryan, a four-time league Coach of the Year, won seven league titles and guided the UW to back-to-back Final 4’s.
The 2015 Wisconsin team is still ranked the most efficient offense in KenPom history. Now that
@dekker
has told us they didn’t even run an offense, that’s 10x more impressive. Such cohesion.
Under Bo Ryan Wisconsin had a winning record against every school in the Big Ten, the highest winning percentage of any team, the best road record and the best home record during Ryan’s tenure as head coach. All while never finishing worse than 4th place in the league. Legend.
My take on the Wisconsin
#Badgers
NCAA Tournament hopes:
• Lose to Ohio State Wednesday — NIT
• Win one — sweating on Selection Sunday
• Win two — UW goes dancing.
Thoughts?
Sam Dekker has officially made the Toronto Raptors. The growth from this young man on and off the court is something to be proud of. Perseverance at its finest.

I know the narrative will never change, but Greg Gard deserves to be mentioned among the top-tier head coaches in college basketball.
As a fan of the Wisconsin
#Badgers
, I can acknowledge some bias — but there aren’t 25 CBB coaches better than Gardo — I’ll die on this hill.
Chucky Hepburn has unnecessarily gotten a bad rap from some within the Wisconsin fanbase.
The Nebraska native is a damn good point guard that’s made a noticeable jump this season and still has plenty of room to grow.
He has an extremely bright future at UW.
Greg Gard has earned the right to fix the cracks in the foundation without having to look over his shoulder.
Show patience — let things play out — and remember, the grass isn’t always greener.
Wisconsin will be just fine.
#Badgers
Today marks the final home game for Brad Davison. He’s given Wisconsin everything he possibly could have during his playing career. Don’t make the mistake of waiting until he’s gone to truly appreciate him.
#Badgers
I’m tired of Carter Gilmore being the basketball program’s whipping boy.
He’s been a connector on offense, plays his ass off on defense, denies post entries, takes care of the ball, and rebounds well for his size.
The junior forward has been a nice role player.
#Badgers
Ben Carlson, Johnny Davis, Lorne Bowman, Steven Crowl, Jordan Davis, Carter Gilmore.
Chucky Hepburn, Matthew Mors, Chris Hodges.
A new era is upon us. Greg Gard is good at his job.
Johnny Davis should be the Big Ten Player of the Year and Greg Gard could be the Big Ten Coach of the Year. Anything else would just be unacceptable at this point.
#Badgers
I cannot stress enough how much badger fans are going to love Chucky Hepburn.
Hepburn is everything you could want in a point guard. UW is getting a facilitator, leader, and a first class human being.
Greg Gard is a really good basketball coach, and I’ll never understand why anyone in the fan base wouldn’t root for him to succeed.
We all want the same thing in the end — for Wisconsin to win games.

After two seasons overseas Wisconsin native, Sam Dekker is returning to the NBA on a deal with the Toronto Raptors. Sam Dekker is a tremendous example of where perseverance and hard work can get you. The entire state of Wisconsin is behind you.
#Badgers
My ideal transfer portal addition for the Badgers would be Illinois State guard Antonio Reeves.
Averaged 20 PPG for the Redbirds + 39% three-point shooter.
Visited UW multiple times back in high school, and has two years of eligibility remaining.
All 5 of Wisconsin’s starters return are returning, plus Greg Gard added St. John’s transfer wing AJ Storr, who earned Big East all-freshman team honors last season.
Sprinkle in freshman big men Gus Yalden and Nolan Winter, plus CG John Blackwell.
Am I missing something?
Quick reminder for everyone that was calling for Greg Gard’s head at the beginning of the season:
Wisconsin is tied for 3rd in the Big Ten in a season the conference is deeper than ever. Good things take time.
Chucky Hepburn is currently second on the team in assists (31) and is tied for the team lead in steals (18) - while also having a 1.7 AST/TO ratio.
Hepburn is looking like a perfect fit for Greg Gard and the Badgers.
Wanted to take a moment to thank the state of Minnesota for producing so many terrific Wisconsin basketball players throughout the years.
The pipeline is strong.

It’s official, Tyler Wahl is returning for a fifth season in Madison.
Wisconsin is better when he’s on the court. Period.
Massive win for the

.
PG: Trice | Anderson | Bowman
G: Davison | Johnny Davis | J. Davis
F: Ford | Wahl | Gilmore
F: Potter | Carlson
C: Reuvers | Hedstrom | Crowl
Wisconsin has the perfect balance of strong veteran presence with an infusion of youth. Iron sharpens iron.
46 years. From 1948-1993 Wisconsin went without an NCAA tournament appearance. With only 13 winning seasons during that span. Thank your lucky stars for Bo Ryan and Greg Gard.
Wyoming transfer Noah Reynolds, a 6-foot-3 combo guard who recently visited Madison, didn’t waste much time scrubbing the ole IG of Cowboys content and is now following his potentially soon-to-be teammates…👀
Something to monitor,
#Badgers
fans.
The
#Badgers
have five games remaining, and currently sit in a three-way tie for first place in the Big Ten. Buckle up, it’s going to be a wild ride to the finish.
Jordan Davis is quietly putting together a nice season for UW.
Davis is shooting 43% from beyond the arc over the
#Badgers
last six games — raising his season 3-point percentage to a respectable 34%.
Solid defender, takes care of the ball, and 3rd on the team in rebounding.
It’s going to be a tough look for the Greg Gard can’t recruit crowd when Gus Yalden, Nolan Winter, and John Blackwell all become meaningful contributors during their Wisconsin careers.
Rankings don’t matter. Work ethic, fit, and teachability do.
