Storms hit the US every year in these areas, they are part of a greater area known as tornado alley (along with several smaller regional alleys) where the necessary ingredients for tornadoes, a good uplift, shear and moisture, along with instability, are higher than anywhere else

This happens because of clouds all the time partially obscuring the moon, and not because of a "poleshift". Earth's magnetic poles do shift every 300,000 years or so but it does not cause this. This is simply Clouds obscuring the moon partially.

going to add some pointers, don't have MDT overlap with ENH, TSTM and other risks, switch directly over to the highest risk in the area. For another, try not to be too aggressive in calling a MDT/HIGH when the SPC has not in most cases. Finally, just clean up the graphic overall.
