Our fearless rooster, André, was killed in the line of duty this week. He fought off a raccoon long enough for us to intervene, but he didn’t make it. Not a single chicken was lost. He was their protector, a hero. He will be sorely missed. My heart is heavy. RIP sweet prince.

Why does everyone refrigerate their butter?? Do you like chipping away at a cold brick every morning, smushing it into your bread, destroying your toasts texture (and dignity)!? Salted butter lasts up to 2 weeks at room temperature. Get a butter dish and stop this nonsense!

“You’ll never have time for hobbies once you have a baby” Hunted most of the morning, came in and baked 8 loaves of sourdough with my baby on my chest, now lounging happily with her as I enjoy a cup of tea. Children are not a burden or a hindrance. Never forget this.

Been drinking raw egg shakes for breakfast to help with my postpartum recovery and I feel amazing, highly recommend! Throw a frozen banana in there, some cocoa powder, raw honey, organic unsweetened peanut butter, milk, and a bit of Greek yogurt 👌 it’s a real treat 😋
