The MCU costume discourse is kind of wild. It's certainly been an up and down process through the history of comic book movies, but I don't think anybody remembers how mind blowing it was to see an almost completely un-compromised modern iron man on screen

Our physical, well-played copies ARE disappearing, and rather than making games accessible to new audiences in their original context the way we can with movies, old versions of games are simply replaced with transformative remakes. Personally, I think it's a bad road to go down.

It's like, there's a portion of people dicking on James Gunn for not being totally faithful to the look of Abnett and Lanning's run- you know, one he loved enough to try and adapt at all. For a team NOBODY else was going to adapt. Recognise that this could be you.

My personal theory? I love comics, and I think you've let too many young 2000's movie truthers run the conversation on here for too long. Of course I have issues of my own, but overall I think we have little to complain about. The look of CB adaptations always evolves.

Bruce was a child of abuse who grew into an awkward scientist, so the gamma exaggerated his desire for power. Jennifer was a dowdy lawyer who had dreams of being a dancer and getting attention, so the gamma exaggerated her desire for confidence. Neither were what they needed.

@DiamondSpiderP I'm very much of the opinion that it's a deliberate arc. Ben's death begins the thought, kicking off spidey's career as he tries to articulate what he feels, but May (who was on her own arc too) ends up finding the words that has him truly understand it clearly.

Fantastic storytelling moment. Not only is this guy as big and strong as the Hulk, he has CQC style tactics to counter mindless smashing, indicating an experienced leader. Some classic 80s 'here's the big-bad' stuff and a reminder the first ten Marvel years had some strong peaks.

The Muppets are a product (and relic) of their time. They’re no longer relevant or relatable. They will never be a huge franchise. I’ve been saying this for years. That said, if you’re going to attempt it, building shows around obscure / niche characters is NOT the way to do it.

Kind of funny how the history of comics is now repeating itself in the wider culture of film. Never forget, the boys was once a counter culture comic, created after Marvel's counter comics culture boom in the 60s became mainstream culture. Years later, it's happened again.
