Alexandria pulls off the upset of the decade. Knocking off the Hermantown Hawks 6-1. That ends an 8 year consecutive streak of the Hawks making it to the State Class 1A Final. What a huge victory for the Cardinals!! Hats off to the Hermantown Hawks on their incredible run!

Buzzy Christensen was the Head Coach of the Grand Rapids Indians in 1979-1980. He filled in for Jim Nelson while he was on leave. Buzzy not only coached the Indians to a State Title in 1980 but he won 3 Titles as a player with The International Falls Broncos from 1964-1966. #TBT
