my 4 y/o: Dad, can I say the f word in my head?
me: Sure, just not out loud
him: You're the best dad ever
me: Wait, why?
him: I just fucked up the picture I'm coloring
I'm all for eliminating student debt. Fortunately, my wife's student debt was eliminated...by a service disabled veteran...that didn't go to college and instead got a job and paid that shit off himself.
Figure it out yourselves; don't make me pay your way too. ✌️
*Outside talking to neighbors with wife
Neighbor's wife: we've been stocking up on supplies every day
My wife: good to know
Neighbors looking at each other: why?
My wife: now I know we can just kill you and take your stuff if it comes down to it
This is why we're married
We're pleased to announce the results of a collaborative project between , John Stewart & Associates and done to assess corn yield & acreage implications in IA, MO, IL, IN & OH. Full report can be viewed at .
Embarrassing day for USDA on a couple levels here. To have the site down when the report is released is secondary to the obvious fact that someone waited until 11:00 to buy the corn report they knew would be bullish before the numbers were actually released.
My daughter Sophia turned 13 today as we sit in shelter-in-place directive. Not the day she thought she'd have just weeks ago. This is one of my favorites picture of her when we had a daddy daughter date night together. Birthday wishes appreciated for her.
I love how media makes it look like delta variant is because of the "unvaccinated" in the US when it's simply the variant that was first found in India in December of 2020
4 y/o son: I don't want to go to school today
Wife: Why Brody?
Brody: Because I love you so much
Wife: *melts 😚
Me being clever: I don't want to go to work today
Wife: I already made your lunch
77 years ago yesterday was my grandfather's 1st day on Okinawa. It was Easter Sunday. He told me this while we said our goodbyes to his wife of 74 years. Say a prayer for him if you would. I'm so happy for my Nana; she was greeted by so many that love her.
If you think the current antifa movement deserves to occupy the same space in your brain as Americans that fought nazis in WW2 then it's probably because you have a really small brain.
"Tucker, I'll explain your bear market in corn."
"How stocks-to-use increased 50% in one marketing year?"
"The first to practice agriculture on a large scale started in the pre-dynastic period from the end of the Paleolithic into the Neolithic, around 10,000 BC and 4000 BC."
I fear this year's yields will have ramifications beyond how this year's crop turned out. Unless the USDA is just plain wrong about yields and they're revised lower over next few months, we can say goodbye to the idea of aggressively adding risk premium in future growing seasons.
The same water that softens the potato, hardens the egg.
Epictetus said, “It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.”
Consider the scenario below
“I grew up poor!!!’ Waaa” OK cool. No complaint will change that. Now ur motivated to give UR kid the best
when will we realize that in this market the people that looked stupid this morning now look smart and the smart people this morning look stupid and everyone doesn't know every move every day for cryin out loud
We will never let the great U.S. Oil & Gas Industry down. I have instructed the Secretary of Energy and Secretary of the Treasury to formulate a plan which will make funds available so that these very important companies and jobs will be secured long into the future!
Watched both conventions.
RNC had better fireworks.
My opinion beyond that shouldn't matter to you.
In this country we get to decide where our 1 vote goes.
We all have the right/responsibility to decide for ourselves and I won't judge anyone, that's Someone Else's job.
Much finger pointing, jabs and even throwing shade at things people said years ago on agtwit lately. Markets exist due to diff opinions/needs. Knock it off. Act like you've participated in market before because we know no one is right the market all the time. It's humbling daily.
@DejaRu22
Everyone in my household has influenza A except for me. I started taking black seed oil 2x daily earlier this year and haven't been sick since. It was a running joke at our dinner table. "Haha dad drinks this gross oil because he read something on the internet." Haha indeed.
The best thing you'll see all week: A US Marine makes the most of a terrible situation by sharing water with children as they wait to gain access to the airport in Kabul.

The producer owns 200k contracts worth of corn more than they did at this point in 2014. I get the funds are record short. Funds only sold about 60k contracts on a $1+ move in 2014. It doesn't have to be the funds that push this down the last leg.
Dec '14 corn settled at 443'2 on June 26th of 2014; Dec '24 is 443'2 at this very moment.
Dec '14 settled 425'2 the day of the June stocks/acre report, down 22.
Dec '14 gapped lower the day after July 4 and traded 380'0 by July 15 and 365'0 by July 25. The Oct 1 low was 318'2.
Chicago Mayor - IL is a conceal carry state; please don't take matters into your own hands and call 911 instead. We will respond.
Chicago Mayor 1 minute later - We had 65,000 calls for service yesterday, a thousand every 30 minutes. A police force 4 times the size couldn't...
some phone calls start off by asking me how high i think corn/soybeans are going
some phone calls start off by telling me they just ran revenue estimates and they look great
it's a completely different mindset between the two
I propose every sports team be named the latitudinal/longitudinal coordinates of their home stadium followed by the name of the sport and the word 'team'
Redskins will now be the 38.9076° N, 76.8645° W Football Team
*Talking to client
"Corn was down a nickel and beans down 15, both on the lows"
*My 7y/o listening in the background
"You know what ol Jack Burton would say in a time like this...what the hell"
Mayor Lori Lightfoot says Chicago restaurants and bars need to be allowed to reopen "as quickly as possible" to cut down on instances of private parties where people don't take proper precautions against COVID-19.
