Most people use the concept of "building in public" the wrong way and wonder why it doesn't work: Here is the 3R framework we'd advice you to focus on: (with the descending order of priority) - Relationships - Reputation (and building trust) - Reach (attention, distribution)

TRUST is the biggest benefit of building in public. If you do sales, you know how important it is to earn trust. Attention can be hacked but trust is 100x harder. It's built by depositing small bits of goodwill for a long time.
