Next 24 hrs - ACTIVE. Geomagnetic activity has certainly picked up since early hours of this morning. High-speed wind stream caused by an equatorial coronal hole may escalate activity level to a minor STORM G1 event.

Next 72 hrs - QUIET then STORM G1 and G2 levels anticipated by the end of the weekend. A full-halo CME seen on the 10-MAR and is expected to arrive on the evening of 13-MAR. This is on the 33rd anniversary of the March 13th 1989 'Quebec Blackout' geomagnetic storm!!!

Next 72hrs - STORM G3 likely later on Saturday or early Sunday due to CME arrival associated with an X1.0 flare from centrally located active region on Sun's southern hemisphere. Storm conditions expected to continue through the end of the weekend. Should be QUIET today though.

Update (2): It's possible that the bulk of this CME has passed south of Earth, given the location of the active region responsible and partial-halo CME. Minor storm conditions (G1-G2) still possible in the next 24 hours but any chance of seeing STORM G3 is declining.
