Structure Fire- 1000 block of Valley High Drive. Several BFD crews along with a crew from Richfield Fire extinguished this fire. Fire involved a large garage and extended to one home. No injuries and cause is under investigation.

Structure Fire- 8700 block of Harriet Ave. Small fire involving magnesium inside a large industrial building. Fire contained by crews and onsite fire brigade. No injuries and cause is under investigation.

has been awarded a Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant from FEMA. This grant will provide funding to hire 18 additional full-time firefighters.

Structure Fire- 10700 block of Bloomington Ferry Rd. Fire started in the rear of the building. Quickly knocked down by Engine-5 and contained before extending to the inside. No injuries and cause is under investigation.
This week our firefighters participated in training over three days practicing live structure fire tactics, incident command training, and rescuing downed firefighters. A great week of training that will prepare for all types of incidents.
Firefighter Troy Bauman has decided to hang up his helmet and boots for good. After serving 20 years at Station 4, Troy retired in August. We wish Troy the best and thank him for serving the community these past 20 years. Congratulations!
The severe storms have passed but we’re responding to numerous calls throughout the City. Multiple power outages and downed trees across the City. Stay away from downed wires and call 911.
Vehicle fire in the 9000 block of Penn Ave. E-4 and E-1 extinguished the fire before it spread to the building. One civilian with minor injuries. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
