We see ourselves as Asian, yes. But that doesn't remove any of our Hispanicity, and in many aspects, we are closer to Mexico and Madre España than the rest of Southeast Asia. Filipinas also used to be a part of Virreinato de Nueva España, whose capital is Mexico City.

I hate how modern Filipinos hate beauty. I hate how we're the only house in our street that actually does "tapat ko, linis ko." It's utterly demoralizing how so many Filipinos are so tacky, so dirty, and so hostile to beauty.
