The thing that upsets me is thinking of all my friends, coworkers, and acquaintances who have died. Many in senseless, needless wars. I don't like hearing about "their ultimate sacrifice". Because that assumes their deaths were for some higher goal. 3/13

I am proud of my brothers and sisters in arms who have met death in service to their country. They fought valiantly, and carried the weight of war until the very end. But I have to be honest with myself that many of them died for causes that were ill planned at best. 7/13

I've been on 9 deployments. On last one, I was in Kandahar (again...) and asked the Brigadier General what our exit strategy was for Afghanistan. He had no clue, and was angry at me for even asking. 🙄 4/13

I now have a team of five people helping me get my back/hip/sciatica issues fixed. Doc, chiropractor, physical therapist, sports massage therapist, and yoga instructor. And after 4 straight months of pain, I am finally starting to get some relief. ☺️
