Over the past few weeks, Arriva has experienced repeated internal damage to our Hundred of Hoo vehicles and this has led to us working closely with the Academy to ensure pupils are educated of the impact of such negative behaviour. (1/5)
Introducing the Free Bus Weekend
24th and 25th June 2023
All Bus Journeys in Kent and Medway will be free for all passengers until 8pm. No tickets needed - just hop on and enjoy‼️
We are proud to announce the arrival of 5 brand new vehicles, purchased for our Gillingham depot, through an investment of approximately £1m.
The new buses, which will be out in service in the coming weeks, will predominately be used on the 145 and 164 services.
Last week our Maidstone depot had the privilege of hosting a
@Guidedogs
training session. The 6 VIP guests, aged from just 16 weeks up to 11 months old were carrying out an essential part of their puppy training in learning how to both safely board and take a journey on a bus.
We are pleased to confirm our pay offer has been accepted by Unite members, this means no further industrial action across the region and Arriva services will continue to operate as normal across Tunbridge Wells, Gillingham, Maidstone and Northfleet -

It is with regrett that we have had to cancel our services to luton road as children are throwing stones/rocks at our buses, we have had two windows smashed already and do not wish for passengers to come into harms way, Apologies for this.
On Remembrance Sunday we’ll be offering free travel for our serving Armed Forces personnel (both regular and reservists), veterans and cadets. 🌹

Again we have had to stop our services using Luton road this evening due to children with catapolts hitting our buses with stones trying to smash windows. We apolagise to our customers for this inconvenience but we have to think of safety first for both customers and staff.

Unite the Union has confirmed there will be no Arriva industrial action across Northfleet, Gillingham, Maidstone & Turnbridge Wells on Friday 16th September & Tuesday 20th September – as a mark of respect, following the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II
Due to the hot weather expected tomorrow our Gillingham drivers will be driving in their own clothes with each donating £2. This money will go into a fundraising pot which will be used to purchase a memorial bench to honour former employees that we have sadly lost. ❤️
We take the safety of our staff as well as other students and passengers very seriously, therefore if this Anti-social behaviour and vandalism does not stop, Arriva will be left with no alternative but to remove the service completely. (3/5)

Maidstone Park and Ride ‼
We are sorry to announce that the last day of our Maidstone Park and Ride service will be Sunday 19th February 2022.
We would like to thank all of our customers who have travelled on board with us.
Service 701 is a direct summer service from Maidstone to Bluewater running every 30 minutes from 1st - 31st August.
Don't forget a single ticket is just £2!

176/177, 145, 101 routes are operating almost a full service just not serving some of the estates due to abandoned cars and excessive snow.
Due to Tonbridge High street being closed for there annual Christmas Fair there will be no buses serving High street or Tonbridge Castle for service 7 the bus will stop behind Sainsburys opposite the angel Bowls club both sides
From Sunday 28th July our newly streamlined 480 service will run every 10 minutes, providing you with a faster and more frequent connection between Gravesend and Dartford, Temple Hill via Swanscombe, Bluewater, and Dartford Town Centre.

Due to extreme weather conditions all services in the Medway area are now being withdrawn for safety reasons until at least 2pm. Buses will complete their current journeys before being withdrawn. We will keep you updated with any and all updates on this.
Due to a number of incidents with youths attacking buses with rocks near hopewell drive there are a few 166 buses currently not running broken windows awaitng repairs, drivers are reporting the incidents and will be back on route with replacement or repaired buses ASAP.

Due to the road closure near Pizien Lane, Wateringbury, service 7 is diverted via Nettlestead and Seven Mile Lane to Mereworth in both directions until 25 May. This is adding around 10 minutes to the journey time.

Our Northfleet depot were thrilled to provide two buses for the Vaisakhi celebration on the 16th April. The buses were used to ensure that all of the Elders who wished to attend the event could do so. Thank you to Kuldeep Rai and Kuldip Badesha who drove the vehicles on the day.
Dering Way Gravesend on the 190 Route will not be served due to Safety of Passengers and drivers.
At 14:52 today on Thursday 3rd Aug 23 a missile was launched onto one of the buses window and Smashed a Window.

The 177 and 176 are operating as normal most of the route with the exception of serving weedswood estate which will commence at 09:00
Due to England playing today, Maidstone high street will be closed to buses from 18:00-19:30.
Passengers that are requesting the services from the high street will have to make there way to Maidstone bus station to catch there buses.
