Loose network of local groups resisting immigration raids across the UK. Tell us if you see a raid & cc other accounts to make sure it's picked up. No borders!
Think the important lesson here is to never be afraid to make the first moves, even if it might seem scary at first. With raids you gotta move fast, and the risks of inaction are too great.
The blockade at Eaton House immigration enforcement base in
#Hounslow
is still going strong.... No snatch vans have been able to leave for the past 4 hours. This is what solidarity looks like! Direct action can stop the raids!
For those not on the streets of
#pollockshields
but wanting to know how to get involved, why not join/support your local anti raids group - or start your own! 👇
Right, let's just brush over the ICE squads' daily roundups of migrants without the 'right' kind of papers and the many forced to live in fear of immigration enforcement
This is so true. Raids happen quickly & often early in the morning. The only way to successfully resist them is for the necessary info, will, courage & relationships to come from the neighbourhoods in which they take place.

In case it wasn't obvious, other battles are being fought right now, as they've always been. The war on migrants is one thing that doesn't cease, but gathers pace, as well as the terror visited on prisoners worldwide.
In Athens this morning, during the cover of a pandemic the police raided a university building housing immigrants. Mostly families.
They put 30-40 people on busses and carted them off to who knows where.
It is not time to stay inside.

Update: EATON HOUSE IS TOTALLY SHUT DOWN! After hours of blockading, staff have gone home & no
#racistvans
are leaving today. They remain looking both sad and menacing inside the car park... Result!
#JusticeforChinatown
on the 24th July 12-5pm there will be a 5 hour strike in
#Chinatown
London to protest against immigration fishing raids. A vulnerable disabled woman was injured during one of these raids as she protested. Please come along and support. Further details below
Massive respect to all the nameless heroes across the pond taking on the might of the murderous, racist state with passion & determination; real solidarity and mutual aid in action.
Direct action can stop the raids: Immigration Enforcement complained of '27 significant “incidents of disruption” in 2017, and 21 in just the first 6 months of 2018. This forced a general tactical retreat'.
If anyone's around Brixton - pop in to the tube station and ask Immigration Enforcement officers what they're doing there and pls also warn people going in that pigs are downstairs harassing people THANK YOU
Beautiful powerful stuff! Massive respect to the people resisting on the streets of
#pollockshields
today showing us how it's done.
(Also: Important to hold the cops to their word, they can't be trusted)
Glasgow tells the home office to fuck off as police Scotland announce they’re releasing two neighbours detained in this van for over seven hours. A huge show of community solidarity and resistance today.

The embarrassingly desperate police responses to Lush's

stuff shows how anxious they are about people starting to have public conversations about police power. Cue the usual closing of ranks, feigned indignation, and deflection of serious & important questions.

Last night after the Trump demo, a group turned up to protest at the operational base of the Home Office on Melior St, near Ldn Bridge. To their total surprise they found that an unknown person/group appeared to have smashed the windscreen of one of the snatch vans earlier on 1/2
Lots of support from ppl going to sign @ the base. "We're always worried about our next signature because we don't know if they will try and take us. For some families it's very hard because they have children... I'm happy that today immigration won't be able to send anyone back"
One Polish man caught up in a raid in north London told
@NELMAcampaigns
some homeless charities were not to be trusted. “They pretend to help people,” he said, “but actually they gather information for the Home Office.” Boycott

Beautiful, audacious tower block occupation in Calais by people demanding housing for all. Met with typically heavy-handed reaction Inc helicopter raid.

Building links with your neighbours, doing street stalls and events, putting up info posters, setting up a local communications/raids alerts system are all really useful.
Just imagine. You go to your MP for help with an issue - but instead of helping you they report you to the Home Office for immigration enforcement. There have been 134 MP reports this year so far

@rights_info
The two blockades are still in place at Eaton House immigration enforcement base... No thanks to the fire brigade tho who just cut a third lock on a gate at the request of the cops.
@LondonFBU
Do you really want your members to facilitate racist raids today?!
@LondonFBU
~ Get together with some friends ~ do your research ~ get organised ~ take direct action for a world without borders! See for lots of tips & info.
In other news, it's 13/12: ACAB day! Have read of this zine we've given out on stalls with practical ideas on working for a world without cops and border guards. See ya in the streets!
This very predictable development needs mass disruption. There's absolutely no doubt that its use to fight 'serious crime' will very soon be used against any potential suspects...(i.e. all of us)
#maskup
The Met Police will roll out
#FacialRecognition
from next month.
They say all deployments of the tech will be signposted.
In Leicester Square in Dec 2018 they propped a sign against this van - which had a camera on top.
Anyone close enough to read it had already been scanned.
Exactly! Our network is just people angry about anti-migrant policies and fighting back. No membership, just commitments. If you want to get more organised, start with this guide from

On

day let's make it a

for ICE!
Really positive if true. But can we take them at their word? Which of these were due to do it, but pulled out? These aren't just any airlines; they routinely make money from mass deportations.
This fascist who chartered a ship to disrupt refugee rescue missions is now apparently in a 'detention facility near London'. He better hope his fellow - migrant - detainees don't get wind of who he is 😂
I wonder how many people complaining about quarantine will make a momentary mental leap towards empathy for those rotting in jails and detention centres...
Immigration Enforcement are raiding asylum seekers' hotels and accommodations as the Home Office rushes Channel crossers onto deportation charter flights before they can find legal representation
Very useful (US) guide on getting organised in your area, inc some really important points, eg: "the biggest pot hole that many new people get stuck into is that of social media. In short, setting up an account won’t magically make a real life group appear"...
Respect to
@IGD_News
for regularly producing practical, sensible & accessible guides on how people can take effective collective action now against our dystopian present. Well worth a follow!
Immigration officers conduct dawn raid on Chinese woman. IOs are challenged by articulate fiance with camera & leave without arrests. Story is passed to the Guardian. Now imagine the scenario for your average working class migrant with broken English 1/2
2/2 Clearly anger against immigration enforcement is even more widespread than we'd imagined. The demo expressed solidarity with migrants resisting the raids in
#Chinatown
this week, & anger + sorrow at the killing of a 23 yr-old Sudanese migrant in Newport
#justiceformustafa
Victory!
- Keep resisting raids
- Keep building solidarity
- Don't be intimidated by their harassment
Well done guys & to all who supported their defence!
At least 4 incidents now where the police & immigration officers have tried to clampdown on migrant solidarity during raids by dragging ppl through the courts, but it's been thrown out/ended in acquittals etc. 1/2
Very please about this! Seems like exactly the same thing happened as when the Home Office tried me for the same offence. When will they stop bringing useless frivolous prosecutions of people just trying to help out those subject to raids?
.
@turleyplanning
Time to reconsider your work on the Docklands immigration enforcement base. Do you really wanna be known for locking up migrants?
