In 2013, Geoff went to the hospital for pain in his leg and learned it was a blood clot. I remember the doctor explaining to us that usually there’s no pain, and how lucky he was to have caught it. Geoff cited that often, and I never knew someone so steeped in daily gratefulness.

Poa has refused to eat since her surgery, and tube feeding/medicating her constantly has worn me down hard. Today she ate breakfast on her own like a ravenous champion and has been sleeping all day like a little cherub full of meat slop. This is the best day in a long time.

I had surgery on Thursday! Went smoothly and I got to take home the coveted hospital water cup. 🏆 Tests all came back good (no malignancy) and they removed a 4cm fibroid from my uterus! Yay! Recovering now with Nizki. Hopefully this is the start of feeling much much better.

I’m vaccinated, diligent about sanitation, and never went anywhere without a mask, but one of my jobs on the @NateWantsToBtl tour was finding people without masks and getting them to put one on. One way or another, I was one of the crew members that tested positive for COVID.

After learning that extensive sitting could contribute to clotting, the first thing he did was tell his friends and community, urging them to get up, walk, and stretch often. He wanted to share and protect by example. You probably remember his diligent “get up” breaks on stream.

Thanks to those asking after Poa. We’ve seen many specialists now, and the conclusion seems to be that there is not good hope for a cure of the squamous cell carcinoma in her mouth. Vets say the best thing I can most likely do is focus on her comfort. I took her to the park.

Many types of creators that Twitch needs - like producers, hosts and casters, fine art performers, actors, etc. - are overlooked in terms of support infrastructure, and often excluded from community and incentive programs.
