Red-necked Phalarope showing at Llyn Coron. From car park walk 30 yards or so until there is a path to lake shore. Look out to the south and right of a small island (currently has cormorants roosting) and Phalarope amongst a feeding flock of Teal.

c. 10,000 Swallows and c. 500 Starlings came into roost at the main reed bed at RSPB Cors Ddyga last night (12th) - quite a spectacle - as was a count of 64 Little Egrets.

SNOWY OWL report of a bird last Thursday c1.5mls WNW of Holyhead at Holyhead Mountain c8pm. There is an accompanying photo. Observer not known, nor why there has been a delay on news emerging. Not the first report from Anglesey in '19 so it is possibly still on island.

Black Terns - #StormBetty seems to have moved an unprecedented number of Black Terns into the Irish Sea with good counts from a number of Welsh sites. Anglesey got into some of the action with 4 on the beach at Traeth Lligwy and up to 22 off Amlwch Port looking beyond East Mouse.

Broad-billed Sandpiper at Inland Sea yesterday evening set to become only the 3rd accepted record for Anglesey after 1 at Malltraeth from the 4th-6th June 1984 and 1 at Llanfwrog & the Alaw estuary between the 1st-2nd May 2017.
