In law school, I grinded teaching 25+ hr/wk of tennis. As a law clerk, I taught tennis after work. First few years as an associate, I worked 50-60 hrs/wk. Its important to remember where you started & where you could be; especially when looking on from a glass house.

@Pickleball @TheMeganFudge TBF, she did not say she was retiring from singles. She said she wanted a rule in place that prevents repeated overrules with no penalties. I totally commend her for taking this stand. It's very brave as singles is a decent portion of her livelihood.

@Pickleball Nothing. Neither players nor manufacturers know what the testing standards or procedures are. The paddles are taken into a closed door room and “tested.” For all we know, they are using a frying pan to test them.

An FYI about levels of tennis for PB ppl. When someone says player A played high level tennis, you should question that immediately- tennis players don’t speak like that. A tennis player would say, I played high school tennis, division 1, 2, or 3 college tennis, or pro.

By starting first every week, the men also get minimum of 2 (usually 3) first and second round matches on center and GS before the woman start. By the time the woman start, men are at qtrs, so they remain on the show courts. Cycle never ends.

Keep both formats. Progressive draws give fans the opportunity to know something is different about that event than normal. Traditionally, "major" events look no different - progressive fixes that
