Monarchs like Fernando III or Carlos V resemble more like ancient emperors in their thinking and actions, which don't correspond at all to christian teachings, their christianity was mainly cultural. In the christian sense, they weren't pious at all.

People mock this as some unserious consumer spirituality but my deeply religious catholic parents have home altar with similar vibe, with statues, pictures, candles and rocks from places of worship. That's just what religious people do, nothing fake about it. You should log off.

Reading proclus (greek pagan philosopher 412 CE) it's clear i beleived in god bc catholic/ortho theologians lured me in with their modified (malformed?) platonism. Proclus is the real deal, and his intelect towers over them all. I've no philosophical interest left in christianity
