welcomed a unique, state-of-the-art fire truck designed to help fight underground electrical fires. The specialized fire truck cuts down the time it takes to fight these fires from hours to minutes, speeding service restoration time for customers.
High winds and strong storms resulted in significant damage throughout the area. We appreciate your patience as we work as safely and quickly as possible, however due to widespread damage and more storms expected, restoration efforts will likely continue over the next 48 hours.

Crews worked overnight to continue restoration efforts. Another round of severe weather, including a reported tornado in SEMO, caused additional outages. We’ll have 600+ lineworkers on the ground today to reconnect remaining customers impacted by this weekend’s damaging storms.
Our team is working their eighth day in Louisiana. As of yesterday, 728,000 customers have been restored thanks to the work of our crews and 25,000 others from across the country. We'll continue to work until the remaining 174,000 customers are back online.
