There should be a “Wall of Shame” reporting service, or specialist within an existing major media outlet that covers egregious failures of governance. Public shaming and personal reputation risk is sometimes the most effective incentive to keep Boards and management teams honest.

This seems like a market where long-term investors will take $ from short-term investors who panic. Yes the next year will be choppy, but many things to like about the medium to long-term setup. Great businesses with strong balance sheets will do just fine.
