“My pussy still hurts just by thinking of you” is one of the lines Selena Gomez says in the film and I think they should just start opening next editions of Cannes with it. Audacious, musical and surprising Audiard stunner!

HOLY FUCK! A modern day Death Becomes Her with a dash of Drag Me To Hell. Coralie Fargeat puts both Cronenberg and Ducournau to shame! Demi Moore Renaissance upon us 💥💥💥

I hope Todd Field doesn’t take another 16 years to make another outing. Thank you Cate Blanchett for your remarkable work as Lydia Tár. History will look back at this film/performance with deep admiration.

Courageous Larrain project that is not really afraid of doing its own thing. Exactly what is needed for a story like this. A horror film in disguise. Kristen Stewart is magnificent but that’s not news to anyone following her brilliant work as an actress in recent years

The joy brought by a filmmaker so free and so wild. A fairytale turned thriller. Sure to be considered a modern American classic.

Arguably all acting winners this year won based on narrative (totally, mostly or partially). The only time they make sure to turn a blind eye on narratives is when this poor woman is in (although she 100% deserved based on merit at least 3 times) The clownery is showing

First Eid without my brother who passed away last March after a surprising, short but violent cancer attack. Found this token that he wrote for mom in his kindergarten dossier. He was 41 and he was the most peaceful human being I’ve ever known. Allah Yrehmou.

Thrilled to announce that our project to open a cinema space in Casablanca has been picked up by the European Union. This much needed proposition we’re about to launch has been in the works for years and is now getting a co-funding and a caring backing.

They did send back my brother from the surgery room ahead of a critical intervention and asked us to personally go look for blood. A blood they never used although they charged us for it and delayed the act for 24 hours. The clinic in question is Riad Annakhil in Rabat.

2 • THE NEW BOY (Thornton) 🇦🇺
WT was in such a mood when he shot this film. It’s gorgeous but the whole is mixed. Cate Blanchett has a large and substantial role and she excels in it. I never thought that she out of all actresses would give us a sane & grounded nun

4 • KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON (Scorsese) 🇺🇸
The spectacular “king” Robert De Niro gets physical by spanking Leonardo DiCaprio in one of Scorsese’s best films where greed makes evil.
The master delivers the fastest 206 minutes of the festival.

This is a long thread of this decade’s most vibrant/personal films. Featuring Scorsese, Almodovar, Sachs, Varda, Arnold, Ozon, Petzold, Haneke, Rohrwacher and more 🎞
Mona Zaki is otherworldly and will most probably deliver and win the season in a landslide. The attention to details and the anxiety attacks this show produce with its inaugural episode are striking. The American dream through the eyes of the great Tamer Mohsen.
