Muhammad Ali fought Joe Bugner for the first time. Prior to the fight, Ali was gifted a bedazzled, Elvis-styled robe from Elvis Presley himself. Ali wore it into the ring and beat Bugner by Unanimous Decision after 12 rounds of boxing.

Lonnie serves the Center as a constant reminder of Muhammad's love and legacy, and she is our guiding light in all things. ❤️

The Muhammad Ali Center extends condolences on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Muhammad had a deep love for Great Britain.
The Center sends healing thoughts to family and friends of the Queen, and all those who are mourning this significant loss.

will be changing it's name to Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. Keeping Muhammad's legacy alive in his hometown that he loved so much is vital to the Ali Center's mission.
