🏆 WE ARE U15s PLAYSTATION SCHOOL’S CUP CHAMPIONS 🏆
Well done to the entire team & staff involved in making this win a reality. It’s an incredible achievement and the entire school is beaming with pride today.
Check out all our goals and celebrations ➡️⚽️
Who caught OA Charlie Patino making his debut for Arsenal last night? Way to do it in style… With a last minute goal!
During his time at Aldenham Charlie was part of the team that brought us 2 ISFA National Cups! We’re extremely proud. Congratulations Charlie.
It was an absolute pleasure welcoming Charlie Patino back to Aldenham for the Summer Ball last week - the Arsenal footballer began his career at Aldenham, and we’ve been watching his sporting achievements with great interest.
An historic win for the Aldenham U15 footballers - yesterday's 4-1 win at Burton Albion makes them ISFA 2018 champions! Excellent play by a great team of talented footballers.
Last month we said goodbye to our Headmaster Mr James Fowler.
Mr. Fowler has worked with Aldenham for 16 years and helped it grow into the school it is today.
We wish him a wonderful retirement spent on his boat with his wife and may he have fair winds and following seas!
Huge congratulation to our U15 footballers who have made it through to the ISFA final having beaten Eton 3:2 this afternoon. That's going to be one noisy coach on the way home!

@AldenhamSchool
pupil Charlie Patino, an U14 player, represented the England U15 football team vs Belgium at St George’s Park. England won 2-0 and Charlie played the whole game.
We are happy to announce a semblance of normality with the return of our Years 10 and 12 to the school grounds, under controlled and carefully planned circumstances. We have newly designed routes around the school and lessons are being taught in small "bubbles".
Over half term Myles Lewis-Skelly played for England U16s in 3 wins vs Italy, Belgium and France. Myles was given the given the honour of captaining the team in the match against France too!
Listen up Aldenhamians! We were proud to see Adam Harison appearing on the first ever episode of Little Mix the Search AND even better making it as a member of a Boyband. Good luck Adam - all of Aldenham is behind you.
Aldenham are victorious in the ISFA U13 Cup! ⚽️🏆
Huge congratulations are in order for our U13s Football team, as they won the ISFA cup this year. Our boys displayed true determination and courage to come from 2-1 down at the start of the second half and win it 3-2.
Today, we receive the sorrowful news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen.
She was not only a powerful leader to an entire nation but an inspiration to the rest of the world.
Our thoughts and prayers are with The Royal Family during this time of grief.
We’ve had an overwhelming and incredible amount of touching tributes paid to Paul Spencer, our former art teacher described by many of our pupils as the best the school ever had.
Our predecessors in our long history experienced a lot. School records describe the impact of Spanish Flu and there are entries about celebrating the end of each World War. We are carefully documenting what is happening right now to preserve it for the future!
The past couple of months have been a true test of our Aldenham spirit and we wanted to share some stats with you all on the successes the school has had and delivered during lockdown. Thanks to all teachers, staff, parents and pupils that have made this all possible.
A humbling and life-changing experience for the 29 Aldenham students + staff who helped look after 15 young people in a

Massive congratulations to all cast and crew for the four amazing performances to packed houses.
Our all-round education provides challenge, enjoyment and opportunities for your child to flourish in the classroom and to benefit from a multitude of extra curricular activities.

who left

in 2008 came back to share some advice with our young golfers and sports scholars: Preparation, Process, Patience & Practice. This road to success is certainly working for him - keep up the great work Matt.
We wanted to end the term with a festive bang. So Merry Christmas and enjoy! Happy Christmas Jumper Day! There are lots of colourful additions this year.
We know our favourites but which are yours?!
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Hellen Manufor as Head Netball Coach at Aldenham school. Hellen was recently appointed to the Board of Wales Netball as the first ever Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Director. (1/4)
We are continuing to share our morning breaks along with a welcome distraction. We’ll be breaking for tea (and coffee) and sharing our stories every day at 11am. Please all join us and share your pictures for stories ☕️ AND that’s the Tea.
Congratulations on coming 2nd in the Omega European Masters to esteemed Old Aldenhamian, Matt Wallace!
Matt's achievements in the sport have been incredible to watch and we couldn't be more proud to have him as a part of Aldenham history.
Aldenham has a World Champion!
Daniel Guinchard is a current pupil (Y10) and on Sunday WON the Junior Go Karting World Championship held in Portugal. This is an incredible achievement! Congratulations to Daniel and his Team!
We have all been working hard adjusting to Aldenhome this week! And wanted to say thank you to all staff, teachers and students who have made our virtual classes a delight. Swipe right to smile

Aldenham was well represented in the third round of the FA Youth Cup as 3 OAs demonstrated their skills - James Olayinka & Xavier Amaechi for Arsenal, beating Tottenham 5-2, Xavier scoring one of the goals, and Mamizio Pochettino in the Tottenham team.
Excitement is mounting following our U15 footballers' 3-0 win against Bradfield which puts them in the semi-finals of the ISFA Cup against Moorlands School.
Following in the footsteps of our last year's winners?
Go
@AldenhamSchool
!
Every year, at Visitation Day, we look forward to the infamous and excitable staff versus parents Tug of War competition. You may be able to spot a member of our senior management who won't take failure as an option in this image
Last week was Aldenham’s Fireworks Night! 🎇
We had a great time commemorating bonfire night and a lot of fun watching the fireworks. We were joined by pupils, teachers, parents and Old Aldenhamians, and we all had a great night.
We're lucky at Aldenham to be blessed with such peaceful surroundings – look at all that greenery!
We value play as much as we do work and understand the importance of creating an environment where students and teachers alike can relax after class.
Congratulations to the U14A side who won the Elgin Trophy yesterday with a convincing 3-0 win over Hampton.
Aaron Nour, who was named ‘player of the match’ scored two first half goals before Christian Swaby scored a third early in the second half to finish the game. 👏
143 students from Years 8, 9 and 10 enjoyed an amazing week of skiing in Le Deux Alpes, France.
Our beginner groups, many of whom had never even put on skis prior to the trip, ended the week being able to ski all the way down from the top of the mountain!
There were more than 40 organisations to speak to at the Aldenham School Careers Fair. It was a great opportunity to meet recruiters, ask pertinent questions about how to enter specific professions and to find out more about employers and industries.
Today, we were pleased to welcome TV presenter
@EmmaWillis
and fashion consultant
@therealgokwan
as guest speakers to chat to our pupils about diversity. A topic many of the pupils and staff alike found enlightening and entertaining.
We hope to host many more talks in the future
Leemans house would like to say a big thank you to anyone who has donated a gift to our Christmas Gift Appeal. We have managed to collect 473 gifts in just two weeks. These presents will go to vulnerable children across Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.
Merry Christmas!
It's been a great year at Aldenham! From the House Music Competition to Visitation Day. We have had a blast and want to take tonight to say thank you to all parents, staff and pupils for all their effort and participation. Happy New Year and see you next year Aldenhamians!
Jack Grieves (Watford) and Charlie Patino (Arsenal on loan at Blackpool) faced off in the two teams' first game against each other this year. We're incredibly proud of the two boys, and congratulations to Jack on securing the win with his team this time around!
Happy Easter Sunday! It may not be a conventional one but today is still a time to think about family and friends. We hope all our students and staff are keeping safe this weekend. An activity to pass the time... What’s your favourite Easter egg?! Let us know below?
The beautiful traditional school dining room is undergoing some refurbishment with experts undertaking the sanding and varnishing of the floors and wooden side panels. We'll keep you updated on the progress over summer!
If anything generates friendship it is shared experience, and there is probably no experience quite like that of singing your heart out for your House in front of family and friends.
We are delighted to hear that Scarlett, Year 10, was part of the winning Chelsea team in the youth FA cup yesterday. A great achievement for her and the team.
Scarlett started and played the whole match which is impressive in itself as one of the youngest players in the squad.
Engaging in sports is very important for children whilst they're developing. Besides having incredible benefits to their health, it can help them to develop character, strategic thinking and goal setting.
Milly Gall won the Hertfordshire County Championships 80m hurdles last month. The results from this are entry standards for the English Schools National Championships. Milly is currently ranked 3rd in the UK for Under 17 80m hurdles.
Congratulations to Mrs Murray!
Mrs Murray is delighted to be taking over Mrs Wilson's role and stepping in as Acting Deputy Head Pastoral. She says, "I'm so excited to be looking after the welfare of students in the Senior School and promoting positive behaviour."
Today we welcomed back our pupils with socially distanced open arms! 😆We are delighted to have the children back at school and the Chapel has been converted to a Lateral Flow Test Centre. Thanks to all involved for making it an easy and impressive process.
At Aldenham we are passionate about sport.
We believe participation in sport allows for the development of good characteristics such as commitment, practice and the ability to work in a team.
These are characteristics we encourage in many areas of school life.
We are seeing history in the making with all our Aldenhome lessons! Thanks to all the teachers and students who are making this difficult time easier and also lots of fun. History Lesson time with Year 9 and Mr Luke Sarsons.
Mr Harding has joined this vibrant school as Assistant Head with responsibility for Learning. Having served as both a pastoral and an academic leader, he is passionate about the School’s aim: to provide an excellent, all-round education.
Music thrives at Aldenham, and our Music department is vibrant and enthusiastic.
Recently we witnessed some fantastic talent from across the school at our Music Scholars’ concert. Everyone involved should be immensely proud of themselves. 👏🏽
Year 11 students had a new take on revision completing an escape room on their Literature text 'An Inspector Calls', using their knowledge of the text, quotations and analysis to work out clues. Thankfully they all made it out in the end!
Who was there for the cricket match last Friday?! Friday 14th May saw the Aldenham Staff XI play against the U18 Aldenham School 1st XI.
It was a great game, played in fine spirits and will be a brilliant memory for all the players and spectators who graced the field!
TBT to this year's Eros run. Every year runners gather at the Eros statue in Piccadilly at 5.00am on the last day of term for the start of the Eros Run to our own mini-Eros statue at the School, returning in time for breakfast!
Meet the new boys from January 1889. January 2021 saw hundreds of potential new boys and girls sitting entrance tests.
We wish all entrants luck in gaining a place at Aldenham for September this year. Good luck to them.
"You want a school which will nurture and support your child as they grow and help to steer them on the right path as they develop." - Mr Fowler, Headmaster/CEO of The Aldenham Foundation
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Aldenham School! ❄️🎅
Our pupils took full advantage of the snow we had yesterday… The top field was the place to be for all the fun and games.
Congratulations to Michael Li who received a high commendation for his economics essay from the John Locke Institute at a gala dinner held at Oxford University. He was one of a few finalists, which saw entries from 101 different countries.
We wish our leavers of 2022 well as they have now all embarked on their university courses. They are in institutions across the country including Bath, Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle, Oxford and UCL,
Sunday positivity and achievements before lockdown. Our girls’ hockey teams have lots to celebrate. Both our U14 and U15 teams have won their District Cups! 🙌
The House system promotes a family atmosphere. We aim, through an emphasis on the pastoral care of individuals, to ensure that each pupil reaches his/her potential whether academically, socially or in the many cultural, musical and sporting activities available.
Aldenham School offers a variety of after school activities to enrich the children's education and pastoral care. Why not try your hand at pizza tossing?
We are extremely proud to announce that two of our students received offers from Oxford University!
Viola Alishah received an offer from University College, Oxford for Classics; Eleanor McNeill received an offer from St Anne’s College, Oxford for Classics and English.
This month in Chapel we were delighted that The Ven Dr Jane Mainwaring, the Archdeacon of St Albans and one of our school Governors, preached to pupils about the importance of listening rather than just hearing.
