I still can’t believe as many as 100,000 people in this city don’t have access to a family doctor. I received some horrific texts and emails earlier about what people have to go through just to try to manage chronic conditions through walk-in clinics. We treat prisoners better.

3.5 million people live in the Seattle Tacoma area on the same Salish Sea. To say nothing of all the Alaskan tankers, and nuclear US Navy ships, thousands and thousands of container ships go back and forth. And we’re having a national meltdown over 1 extra tanker per day.

Random thought: Activists should not being paying the legal bills, nor providing access to counsel or other legal resources, to journalists responsible for covering them. That's an enormous red flag in terms of conflict of interest, regardless of other extenuating circumstances.

I live in one of the highest vaccinated, lowest death rate per capita communities on the face of the earth, and we made it that way by doing the work and speaking clearly about what needed to be done. Call it divisive if you wish. I call it saving lives. And we did. No regrets.
