@jchervinsky The establishment isn't afraid of Bitcoin, just like it's not afraid of gold. But DEFI terrifies the living shit out of them. Because controlling interest rates, lending, and the exchange of all types of value is the absolute center of their power structure.

@dominic_w Such a disingenuous statement. Trying to act like as much activity is happening on Dfin as ETH. You should focus on tweeting about the value you can deliver to users and devs, not trying to paint a skewed picture of Dfin economic activity. We are not stupid, seriously.

@mdudas I'd like to see a DAO that coordinates and rewards whitehats for destroying scamming networks. State-monopoly justice systems are failing. Further, showing that a DAO could deliver and execute justice would be as big as the separation of money and state itself.

@LinkiesLeaks @ErikVoorhees @ShapeShift_io @PatrickAlphaC For reference, the actual product was designed in 2015 ( patents not filed till 2016/17 ). Smartcontract had just started and I met with Steve a few times. They hadn't decentralized the Oracle yet, but when they formed Chainlink, I bought quite a bit in the ICO.

@dominic_w Those 7k contracts control hundreds of billions, whereas Dfin canisters don't control anywhere close the same value. Again, it's disingenuous to act as if your ecosystem is as developed as ETH right now. Just build something people want to use instead of image crafting.

@balajis Soon, mentioning Mearsheimer's arguments will make you "anti-freedom" and "pro-russia". Such ideas are "costing lives"! Soon, questioning the official narrative of The Allied Powers will make you just like the anti-vaxers, costing lives by questioning the efficacy of vaccines.

@iamDCinvestor Right, and just looking at the score (soft or hard inquiry) makes it go down. An api call makes your score go down; such a scam. Meanwhile, they get this money for free from the Fed Reserve because Keynes says it helps middle class via lending. State-sanctioned monopoly on usury.

@decryptmedia So many non-technical people are getting scammed now a days. From Indian tech support, to sim swapping, to malware, to ransomware, to twitter. The people in the crypto industry need to do something about it. Because if they don't, it'll pave the way for regulators to stop it.

@DocumentingBTC People will still use Western Union because the NYC banking establishment will force the US government to "protect everyone" by KYC/AMLing anything over 600 dollars (post-Biden new rule). The nebulous web of AML compliance will strangle your application back to the stone age.

@brucefenton And so it begins. All devs will need to get on Kali Linux, brush up on their privacy crypto, and start transitioning to working fully anon. The days of public DEFI devs are numbered. As long as that happens, then no, DEFI can't be shut down by persecuting individuals.

@brucefenton The Catholic Church passed an edict that all printing presses needed to register with them. And when they printed anything, they needed to include their registration ID on the materials. This was done so that individuals who printed dissenting thoughts could be persecuted.
