Open stance w/ glove on ground. Clears more space to create better feel for arm path. Goal is to hold glove on ground as long as possible. Be on time or “meet” over “beat” the ball to the spot. Carry it from below K zone into it. 🔽->🔼. Sound is a good teller of timing

Playing around w/ stance variation in our catch play before we transition to machine. We don’t predetermine stances for certain pitches, we strive to be able to effectively create strikes from multiple stances. Notice the glove direction remains 🔽->🔼 in each stance.

Thomas has gotten better each year that I’ve seen him since he was 13. High ceiling, really strong kid with more room to keep growing. Also ++ academically, high test scores and GPA. Can’t imagine he will be uncommitted for much longer after the fall he’s been putting together
