I’d support a nuclear plant in our local Gladstone. Makes sense to build at existing coal fired location, negating the need for a swathe of new transmission lines to feed into the thousands of hectares of proposed solar panels covering prime ag land.

Took poor Evie to the vet today to have her eyes removed. They’d become so big & were getting infected & giving her grief. She’s been getting around fine without any vision for a while now & she’s only young. Hopefully this gets rid of any pain & she can live out her years

Fire accidentally started next door today. It’s in the National Park now. No fuel reduction is ever conducted so no hope of pulling it up. It will threaten our property until we receive decent rain cause Parks won’t throw any resources at it. Something has to change

Grew up next to an old WW2 vet who fought in New Guinea. He was tough but fair, us kids used to go & split his firewood & help him in the veggie garden, graft fruit trees etc for which he’d pay us. Taught me a lot more than I realised at the time. He died some years ago & I 1/2
