Most people hate waiting.
They just wanna grab the final product, ignoring the process, the efforts, etc.
But hey, the fact that we're now 3.5 years (❗) into this hobby project should at least show the big passion and love behind it!
Nuff said, enjoy pt.1 of this showcase! 📽😎
In today's episode of QOL stuff: 60 FPS bouncy dropdown window, with movement easing and a cooldown timer for fast retriggering.
Watch till the end for a new surprise feature. More on that one soon! 👀
I remember walking back and forth between areas as a kid, to hear the music restart over and over in a super... jarring way. 😂
So I decided to fix that 😌🤙
Quick experiment with the new dynamic music system!
The main melody follows the player's movements.🎵
Did you notice what happens to the Mart theme, instead? 👀
I don't really care if it isn't much to showcase.
I think the average player underestimates or ignores the amount of effort that goes into coding small things like the text over dim screen, or locked running shoes, or semitransparent textboxes.
So here's *just* that. ✌️
2021 was weird🤔
It was a year of setbacks and achievements, hardship and fulfillment... but it definitely brought me tons of happiness and new knowledge, which I'm grateful for.
Here's to an awesome new year for everybody. 🌟
Lemme show you something I prepared last month!
Some days I just go 100% nostalgic mode and need to rewatch old 2020 videos from LATA's early-stage development... 💭
Some of you might remember this one! Worldbuilding stuff is always fun.
Sinnoh loves tourists!👀
Quick demo of Platinum using a custom Gen 5 soundbank. I'm still testing, but I think I finally got these insertions to work!
It takes the game abt 20 frames to fully switch banks but that can be improved!
It was a matter of time. I had to test this track, sooner or later >:D
Watching some old videos instead of sleeping...
This one's from mid April 2020.💚Most likely, one of the very first successful Gen 5 graphics tests ever done on a Gen 4 ROM.
(Yep, I'm feeling nostalgic.)
Analog clocks! I've wanted to do this for a long time 🕝
Admittedly not very readable...
[just look at how close the camera had to get, in order to actually see the hands!]
but the proof of concept is there, and it can be repurposed for a better clock design in the future!
