Does anybody else feel a twinge of *insert any emotion here* when people say “EM is my backup because it’s easy to match into.” I understand where they’re coming from, but as someone who loves EM and it’s always been #1 , I can’t help but feel weird about the sentiment.

I’ve heard of students who have been dead set on a specialty for the last 3 years only to get their step 2 score back and watch that dream shatter. That shouldn’t be the norm. There has to be a better way.
