A few years ago, Jake Horowitz '24 began a project in which he made bagged lunches for those in need. He brought that tradition with him to Avon and inspired his teammates to help. With his leadership we were able to bag more than 150 lunches this past Saturday!

Our Varsity Basketball team had a special guest at practice today! Coach Jim Calhoun stopped by to give the boys some advice and motivation ahead of the NEPSAC Championship tournament, which begins on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. when Avon head to Choate for their first-round matchup.

This week has been all about aspiring and persevering. We've had our challenges but this group has been fighting, working, growing, and learning, and we picked up two wins against talented, well-coached NEPSAC teams to show for it.

Big time win last night against a perennially excellent Loomis team. It was a great game. Guys were humble, disciplined, and passionate the whole game. Very tough!
Got it done against cross town foe Westy, 66-40. Hard hat went to Jake Horowitz and glass cleaner went to Ben McFarland because we needed a boost and they did what we needed them to do. Guys really rallied for the second half! Three in a row!
Very happy to announce that Postgrad Brian Amabilino Perez will attend the Univ. of Rochester next year! Brian had a great year at AOF, avg 14.7ppg & 6.1rpg He should be a good fit for the Yellowjackets system. Will also be a great academic fit.
