Excited to announce my next step:
As of today I am joining
@AtoZSportsNFL
as a College Football analyst!
I'll be focused on the Oklahoma Sooners and Michigan Wolverines for coverage, as well as a weekly CFB coaching column.
Excited for this new opportunity!
On the season:
-Lions converted 80% of 4th and 3 or less (4th-best)
-SF allowed 71.4% of 4th and 3 or less (28th).
Michael Badgley has not attempted a kick outdoors since 2022. The decisions were totally fine.
Lack of capable NTs (everyone wants to pass rush)+linebacker neglect+lighter players+DC copycats with light boxes becoming the rage and...this is what you get.
A general thought: running the ball has never looked easier than these last two weeks.
The amount of space given by defensive alignment + the light personnel is crazy. Run scheme diversity is peaking too. Passing *should* be down against looks like these. Run til they stop you!
I am excited to say I have officially joined The Sporting News to cover the Rams full-time! A dream come true to finally have the opportunity to cover this team.
My first piece: Ranking the remaining top needs on the Rams' roster after free agency
Michael Hoecht dropped into coverage 19 times (!) for the Rams last night and was targeted six times.
All six targets went for 1st downs+touchdowns. No other defender allowed more YAC.
A personal announcement:
I have resigned from PFN today to pursue a new full-time opportunity. I am grateful for the leadership at PFN welcoming me back so readily and I know the site is in great hands.
I can't wait to share what my next step will be!

Very excited to announce that I am back with
@PFN365
for this upcoming season, covering both CFB and the NFL!! Very excited to get back into the content game this season with such a great crew.
Is Liberty-Jacksonville State the best Tuesday night CFB game in recent memory? Trying to think of one that comes close in terms of records and stakes. Two super talented teams for the top spot in C-USA
I propose a 3 team trade:
โช๏ธRams get Bryce Young
โช๏ธDolphins get Matthew Stafford
โช๏ธPanthers get Dolphins 2nd & Rams 3rd rounder
Itโs really not that crazy.
@TheFacilityFS1
Sneak peak at the draft guide I'll be launching soon!
Going to be delivering similar reports for 200-250 prospects this year, aiming for a launch in April. Let me know any feedback!
For some context because there's been some mixed reactions to this video: The sled is 380 pounds and was designed by Bill Callahan himself to teach technique.
Trade! The
#Browns
are sending QB Josh Dobbs and a 2024 seventh-round pick to the
#Cardinals
for a 2024 fifth-round pick, per sources.
Arizona hasn't named a starting QB, and now Dobbs is in the mix.
The medicals are a definite worry, but Amarius Mims is a top-10 pick talent-wise.
Such a rare blend of tools and he's not as raw as his inexperience would lead you to believe. I'd take a bet on him before quite a few players from this tackle group
We've all been watching Lawrence drag this Jaguars team to success for 3 years now, coming away with the take that he isn't elite and hasn't put out a good enough body of work for that is insane
This is best guess the starting base for LA as of rn
DE: Aaron Donald
NT: Bobby Brown
DT: Kobie Turner
EDGE: Michael Hoecht
LB: Ernest Jones
LB: SW/Jason Taylor II
EDGE: Byron Young
CB1/STAR: Cobie Durant
CB: Ahkello Witherspoon
SS: Jordan Fuller
FS: Russ Yeast/Quentin Lake
I think the most impressive thing about Jackson Powers-Johnson is he is the total package at center...and only played there full-time for a year.
extraordinarily rare gifts.
I've been pretty remiss about posting the scouting reports I've written for PFN, so I'm going to make a thread here and will pin it to my profile to keep updating it
First up, LB1 Junior Colson:
Hey all,
I am searching for a full-time opportunity, preferably in football (both CFB and NFL) but I can handle sports administration roles as well. I can provide a resume and scouting report work samples upon a DM request.
Thank you for any consideration/support!
This. So much this.
Take it from someone who used to act like an ass on the TL. It's nice to be able to get things right but so much better when you can treat this as a medium to just share your thoughts in a presentable manner and be a genuine human lol.
Being right about draft prospects is maybe the least important part of being a football personality. Just be a cool/good person who gives their thoughts in an entertaining way.
Or be a complete ass like
@JoeA_NFL
and rage that more people don't see you as an authority (bc you're
In addition to this news, I've also decided I will be pursuing my Sports Law Specialist certification from The University of Texas this fall in order to continue my dream of working in sports administration!

๐จ New 7-round mock draft out ๐จ:
-Player-only trades in the NFL
-Some different QB landing spots
-BPA to Dallas
-Browns make a move for a big DL name
Check it out!
Lawrence has been freakin dealing this season, don't talk to me about stats so far.
Just like 2-3 dumb mistakes a game at different levels stopping this offense from uncorking and mollywhopping their opponent
They found their new Skowronek, imo. Whittington can be their WR4/STs standout. Willing blocker, good size and makes some tough catches on film. Not an elite athlete but capable after the catch as well. Rams need the WR depth and he can be that
NFL general managers with seats in the press box at Notre Dame tonight to see Caleb Williams and others: Brandon Beane (Bills), Ryan Poles (Bears), Kwesi Adofo-Mensah (Vikings) and Joe Schoen (Giants).
I want to like Blake Corum, because he's got good film.
A 24-year-old rookie RB with multiple knee injuries in his career just seems like a profile the NFL is going to let drop in favor of other guys.
I'm still so surprised Michael Pratt fell all the way to the 7th yesterday. Teams have spent 4s and 5s on Stetson Bennett, Sean Clifford, Bailey Zappe, etc but none wanted Pratt until that late? Crazy to me
The deep ball is dead.
There were 3,416 attempts of 15+ air yards in 2022, fewest since 2006.
Why?
"It's directly attached to Patrick Mahomes. Teams have sat there and said, 'We are going to take these home-run hitting QBs and make them hit singles.'"
The Arizona Wildcats are facing a $240M school-wide shortage after significant miscalculations in their financial modeling.
Cuts are being considered among the school's 23 varsity teams.
โEverythingโs on the table in terms of dealing with athletics."
People are willingly choosing to die on the hill that ESPN should have replayed a horrific injury. We should all be hoping Chubb gets the best news he can and comes back soon, not calling ESPN soft for being considerate towards a player. Just my two cents
Lot of buzz the Rams are eyeing an OT in R1.
Fashanu or Mims would be the dream. Fautanu *could* play tackle as well.
Anyone else (not named Alt) and we're...questioning the process
The best part of Pete Carroll was his innovation. The high energy and personality of Pete is obviously second-to-none, but his ability to adjust continuously with "the times" and work with his personnel was his best trait.
A true player's coach, one of the best ever.
I've seen/heard multiple fantasy analysts talk about the Caleb/Maye situation as though Maye has zero rushing upside. I don't get it.
Maye has 1100 rushing yards and 16 rushing TDs over the past two seasons. He's reportedly clocked in the 4.60-4.65 range in the 40 in the past.
I'm not sure I've seen an OU defender completely take over a game like R Mason Thomas did today in quite a while.
Perkins against OSU, maybe? Closest I can think of
I've been researching some new CFB coordinators for this season, and I'm excited to share some guys that have piqued my interest. Avoiding some obvious answers on this thread, OCs then DCs. Alphabetical order
Hope y'all enjoy, I'm excited to be back sharing these with everyone.
Whatโs happening with Drake Maye is eerily similar to what happened with Christian Hackenberg imo.
Lots of hype, followed up by a less than ideal season. And a lot of people holding onto the old hype.
I just finished writing up Rome Odunze's report for the draft guide (I know, weird order but bear with me) and his list of weaknesses is...pretty short.
WR2, Player
#4
overall for me.
