A #cardano stake pool with 19MM pledge and 0% margin should never offer lower rewards than a pool with 0 pledge. @InputOutputHK , revisit minPoolCost parameter.

Yo @IOHK_Charles I’m often very critical of #cardano and a few particular design choices, specifically minPoolCost. Just know I do this because I deeply care about the network and want it to be its best. I tend to focus on what need fixing over what doesn’t You’ve done a good job

If your #cardano stake pool operator runs more than 1 pool you can guarantee they care about themselves more than they care about you and the other delegators. Consolidated pledge gives better rewards. Split pools gives the operator higher rewards and delegators lower.

This one is to all the early #Cardano YouTube starz. You recognized the network’s incentive model wasn’t working as expected. Instead of using your power to petition a fix, you used your power to exploit it. The damage you caused to $ADA can never be fully cured. But wait 👇

Most of the #Cardano network stopped and needed a reboot earlier today. @F_Gregaard , you can prevent this from happening again by directing the @Cardano_CF to commission a grant for a second node implementation.🕦 $ADA

The @Cardano_CF should focus on commissioning a grant(s) to build an alternate #cardano -node implementation(s) with #Rust and/or #Java . By setting up 2 fully pledged private pools they’d generate about 5-6MM #ADA per year ($1.75-2.1MM at todays low price) #decentralized

#cardano needs more than 1 node client. If the single client has a bug the entire chain is compromised. With each new flavor comes a different company and language, but same underlying function. Redundancy brings resilience. One of you needs to make this.

I got a crazy idea. What if #cardano stake pools with higher $ADA pledge give higher rewards? People will be incentivized to delegate to the highest pledged pools. High pledged pools are the least likely bad actors. @IOHK_Charles , what do you think?

#Cardano needs to stop giving great rewards to custodies and wallets staking user’s #ADA . If they don’t put up stake of their own in the system, they should get really bad rewards. This is fundamental to incentivizing stake out of CEXs and other high leverage delegations.

If you were proud of #cardano ’s research first approach, then you should be ashamed of cardano. minPoolCost was not part of any of the research. You won’t find a single mention of it in any @InputOutputHK paper. minPoolCost is the 340 #ADA /epoch fixed fee most all pools charge.

When a #Cardano stake pool breaks bad and joins in on an attack on the network, they do it knowing they are devaluing their own stake (pledge). If a pool has no #ADA pledge then they have nothing to lose participating in an attack.

Running a #cardano stake pool doesn’t cost 340 ADA/epoch. Infrastructure costs only a small fraction of that. A decent SPO can literally not touch the pool for months while still maintaining perfect performance. Besides setup and infrequent updates, there’s no big time commitment

If the people in a position to attack #Cardano don’t have any #ADA of their own, what is at stake by attacking the network?

Thanks to #cardano ’s mandatory 340 ada/epoch fixed fee, a pool with 5mil pledge and 0% margin can be less attractive than a pool with 0 pledge 12% margin. @InputOutputHK that’s a bad thing.

#cardano delegation certificates should expire within something like 36 epochs (180 days, 1/2 year). The network is stronger when its participants are engaged and constantly reevaluating pools. #ADA #decentralized #community

Last cycle $ADA hit $3 based on what people thought #Cardano would become - almost entirely based on what @IOHK_Charles was telling people. Most of that turned out to be entirely made up. It’s failure to revisit that price is due to people seeing Cardano for what it is.
