The ABOS Board of Directors is comprised of 20 practicing orthopaedic surgeons and one public member. Each Director serves a 10-year term. Our Public Member serves a six-year term.
Dr. Augustus White III was a professor at Yale and Harvard who was a mentor and champion for diversity and understanding health disparities. He was the founding president of the J. Robert Gladden Society.
Thank you to the nearly 230 orthopaedic surgeons who took time away from their practice to come to Chicago to examine nearly 1,000 Candidates. The Oral Examination would not be possible without their dedication!
