1. I bought the highest dose of patches and gum and wore the patch all the time. Whenever my cravings were still intense I would chew a piece of gum. Don’t get mad at yourself for overusing the gum at the start, it’s still a whole lot better than vaping/cigs
2. I started quitting on a Friday so I would not have to interact with people for the first three day. The nicotine is draining out of your system then so both the physical and mental withdrawals are tough so I did not want to have to deal with other people’s bullshit
5. I convinced myself that I was doing good thing for others by not buying vapes and supporting the nicotine companies because they will use my money to get more kids addicted for life
8. I smoked weed nightly to help me go to bed. My cravings were usually worst late at night after the whole day, but weed just made the cravings blend into the high and it was pretty easy to go to bed
6. I quit at the same time as some other friends were quitting and we used each other to give updates on our progress or rant if we needed to, this helped a ton
