My grandmother lost the ability to speak two years before she died, 3 major strokes caused so much damage to her and she was fed through a tube in her stomach. She was the sort of person who never missed tahajud and would think about others before thinking about herself

Moments before she died (8 years ago today), she suddenly awakened and spoke for the first time in years. Her last words were the shahadah. Allah gave her the ability to say the kalima. I remember hearing her voice so loud and clear that my 12 year old brain thought she’d healed.
