Breeding/IVs/EV training/egg moves are all needlessly complex and also dependent on rng. It is intimidating for new players and stops people from joining the scene, as many in the comments have said. Stick to paying $8 a month tho you making all sorts of good decisions.

I'll take it one step further: Seniors division shouldn't exist. I grew up playing chess and regularly played tournaments against adults. Players were divided by ELO so the top kids could compete at their level. AND casuals would have way more fun attending regionals as well

One thing I learned yesterday is absolutely no one knows what covert cloak does, few things: You will ignore snarl, struggle bug, moonblast drops ect. Any secondary effects, also including freeze/para/burn. You ignore fake out It is not single use, lasts the whole game!
