#WWII Vet Bob Maxwell, the nation’s oldest #MOH recipient, has died in Oregon more than 70 years after grabbing a blanket and throwing himself on a German grenade in France to save his squad .He was apart of the 7th Regiment, 3ID. He was 98. #ROTM #HonorOurFallen #HonoredValor

Today in Iraq in 2005: SFC Cashe’s vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb. Cashe heroically retrieved 7 Soldiers and an interpreter from the burning vehicle, receiving burns on most of his body. He perished of his wounds on Nov. 8, 2005. He posthumously received the #MedalofHonor .
