APF 2K8 has 4 different animations for passing distance, short, medium, long, and extra-long. What this does is the QB has a quicker release on a 10 yd slant as oppose to a 45 yd post. So if the defense is sending a blitz, you can get rid of it quicker with short, quick routes.

I want people to watch the defensive line and how they try to sack the QB. The way the pocket is formed and how it develops, it was built to have the QB move around to avoid the pass rush with d line pushing and getting leverage instead of relying on insta wins or losses.
