Don’t let all of this distract you from the fact that Shohei Ohtani illegally wired millions of dollars to an offshore bookie and made his best friend take the fall for him.
Question for
@Ken_Rosenthal
and the entire Los Angeles Dodgers fan base. What would the reaction and outrage be if Manny Machado or Fernando Tatis Jr acted like this in the dugout after a bad inning? Be honest.
Dave Roberts and the Dodgers players just sitting there and not doing anything while Profar and Tatis get stuff thrown at them. Tells you a lot about that team.
"I didn't notice it at the time. I did see the video. It was unsettling...there was intent behind it."
- Dave Roberts on if the ball Manny Machado tossed into the Dodgers dugout almost hit him
I still don’t feel like the San Diego Padres going from TRENT GRISHAM to JACKSON MERRILL in Center Field everyday is talked about enough.
2023 Grisham - .198 BA/13 HR/50 RBI/.666 OPS in 153 games & 555 AB’s.
2024 Merrill - .289 BA/21 HR/79 RBI/.813 OPS in 134 games & 478 AB’s.
This is such an embarrassing tweet. I can only imagine what you and the Dodgers fan base would be doing if it were Fernando Tatis Jr or Manny Machado in this situation. The amount of cope is crazy.
The amount of people rooting for Ohtani's downfall is so crazy to me because this would be so detrimental to the sport overall. Sure you can get your jokes off about the Dodgers and Ohtani but it would take a long time for MLB to recover from this.
Full transparency. I don’t lie on here. I was 100% certain that game was over once Robert Suarez gave up those 3 consecutive hits, & then knowing Ohtani/Betts/Freeman were coming up. A triple play in that situation is like 1 in a Million. I am in absolute shock. Just incredible.
Having to listen to Joe Davis and John Smoltz glaze and obsess over every little thing the Dodgers do is worse for me than anything that’s happening on the field right now. Playoff broadcasts are supposed to be unbiased and neutral. Just a really bad job by FOX.
I’m not hating, but I just wanted to point out that Jackson Merrill is actively contributing to the Padres making a deep playoff run in October while Paul Skenes is sitting on his couch & doing brand deals with Livvy. There is only 1 choice for NL ROTY and it’s Jackson Merrill.
Just want to remind everybody that Shohei Ohtani was on deck. If the Padres didn’t turn this triple play, Ohtani was 100% hitting a game winning homer off of a Robert Suarez fastball. I cannot explain how unbelievable this is.
If the Padres did this $680 Million deferred contract with Shohei Ohtani, there would be a federal investigation, 79 lawsuits, and Pimp Lord 619 would be thrown in jail, but when the Dodgers do it, it’s “good for the game” and nothing will happen.
You guys are so mad at this and are making TikToks about this tweet because you know I’m right. I have no problem with promoting a player. Baseball obviously needs that. But absolutely glazing and spamming the same player for over 30 posts in 1 day is legit insanity.
What do you even do with Xander Bogaerts? He’s owed $280 Million and we have him until he’s 41 years. Imagine what he will look like at the plate at age 35/36/37/38/39/40/41 if he’s doing this at 31. I’m actually at a loss for words.
Yu Darvish didn’t deserve that result tonight. Especially after what he went through during the season and the criticism he faced from *some* people. He pitched his ass off and only made 2 bad pitches tonight.
Thank you.

Petco Park becoming an absolute house of horrors for the Dodgers and their fan base after years of them claiming Petco as their own is one of my favorite things ever.
It’s been over 3 hours now but I’m still pretty heated about this. I honestly don’t care what the rule says, it’s not about that for me. I truly believe if this was a team like the Yankees or Dodgers, or this was a World Series or playoff game, it would’ve been called a home run.
2:57 AM and I can’t sleep at all.
Here’s the atmosphere and what happened the last time the Padres played a Playoff game in San Diego. 🤞

The entire San Francisco Giants fan base is in my mentions right now crying that the Padres dugout “didn’t help Wilmer Flores” when he fell into the dugout.
Exactly what’s happening to me right now. These people will never know I willingly sat through thousands of games having to watch mostly AA and AAA level players play in San Diego everyday. Makes you appreciate what’s happening now and the stars we have with Tatis/Manny/Merrill.
Game 5 in LA on Friday has the potential to be one of the most heartbreaking days in Padres history, or one of the happiest days in Padres history. I 100% feel like garbage right now, but I’m not counting the Padres out considering they always seem to prove us wrong. We’ll see.
Every single time the Padres are on the road these days, most of these opposing stadiums are empty aside from some Padres fans, and the crowds are so quiet. It’s just crazy to see after witnessing 45,000 people every single day at Petco. Weeknight or Weekend. We are very lucky.
Dodgers fans went from crying about how they’re a cursed franchise, calling their entire roster chokers, and saying the Padres own them to saying that the Padres are little brother again & talking about a World Series matchup against the Yankees. This sport is absolutely insane.
It is just so hard for me to take these people seriously. Fans of a 53-35 team that spent 1.2 Billion in the offseason are talking about “getting real talent.” I honestly don’t know what to say. Nobody has it harder than Dodgers fans I guess.
Dodgers getting boo’d off the field. Love it. This circus the front office is running out there is unacceptable. Cut Cavan Biggio, trade Lux, replace Heyward, & send that Ramirez scrub on a flight back to OKC. Get some real talent.
After Game 3 ended and the Padres went up 2-1 in the series, I legitimately thought it was finally gonna be our year in SD. I guess I can’t be surprised. All I’ve known when it comes to Baseball in my life is heartbreak and sadness. It gets to a point where you become numb to it.
Something about
@sdutKevinAcee
picking a fight with Mike Shildt in the middle of a Padres franchise record 18-3 W/L streak is hilarious to me. Nobody worse in local media.
I made a video montage of every single Manny Machado home run against the Dodgers since he signed in San Diego. Look at some of the swing adjustments too. Enjoy.
This has easily been the most enjoyable stretch of Padres Baseball I’ve witnessed since that Wild Card series against the Mets and NLDS against the Dodgers in 2022. I don’t even remember feeling positive about this team last year. Even after wins.
