There is a lot Marxism can learn from the Liberal tradition. For instance, the founding fathers, the framers and the philosophers who influenced them understood that the bourgeois liberal order needed to contain & mediate not only the exploited classes, but the bourgeoisie itself

The point here was obviously not to say that Marxist theory itself is compatible with Christianity or organized religion in general. It was that Marxist Politics (a mass Communist movement, should not (in practice) maintain a strict anti-theist position, for practical purposes

Both are horrific. However, serious historians see the famine as a result of very bad Soviet policy rather than a premeditated attempt to kill millions of Ukrainians (it killed almost as many Kazakhs too ). Meanwhile, Israel is straight up targeting civilians day by day
