28th June. On this day in 1985, my Dad passed on. He loved Chelsea. The only honours he saw the club win were the League title in 1955, the LC in 1965, the FA Cup in 1970 and the UEFA Cup in 1971. I hope he has since looked down at the achievements of his beloved club. RIP Dad🙏
Todd Boehly didn't hesitate to sack Thomas Tuchel after a few negative results, yet patience seems to be a virtue when it comes to backing his own appointment Graham Potter.
My Father was Chelsea through and through, I wish he could have lived to see us win all these trophies. Sadly he passed in 1984. Hope you are looking down Dad💙🙏💙
Alex Jackson. winger. Chelsea 1930-1932.
League Appearances: 65. Goals 32.
International: Scotland 1925-1930
Appearances: 17. Goals: 8
My Dad used to tell me that Alex Jackson was one of the finest players to ever wear a Chelsea shirt!
I'm sure Todd Boehly won't be happy after the investment he has made in players. The football being played is not up to Chelsea standard and we're not scoring nearly enough goals.
On this day in 1978, Leicester City were the visitors to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea won the match 2-0 with goals from Clive Walker and Ray Wilkins.
Ray Wilkins
On this day in 1990, Chelsea made the short trip to the den to face Millwall. A classic hat trick by Kerry Dixon (the 1st a header, the 2nd a right foot shot and the 3rd from his left foot) gave Chelsea a 3-1 win. Malcolm Allen scored a late consolation for Millwall.

Hughie Gallacher. Centre Forward. Chelsea 1930-1932
League Appearances: 132 Goals: 72.
Barely 5’5” but what a player and what a goalscorer. He scored a total of 387 League goals in 545 games for his clubs and 24 goals in 20 appearances for Scotland. Incredible ratio!
On this day in 1990, Everton were the visitors to to Stamford Bridge. Two goals by Kerry Dixon gave Chelsea a 2-1 win. Everton’s goal came from ex-Chelsea player Pat Nevin.

Bobby Tambling my first football hero. The first match I saw Chelsea he scored 4 goals in a 4-2 win against Arsenal at Highbury and I was also fortunate enough to be at Villa Park in 1966 when he scored 5 in a 6-2 win against Aston Villa, Wonderful servant to the club.
I admit I wasn't confident before this match, I thought it could be a potential banana skin. However, the players proved me wrong. Brilliant performance. The 6-0 scoreline did not flatter us, it could have been more.
On this day in 1984, Chelsea were the visitors at Blundell Park where they face Grimsby Town. The Blues won the match 1-0 through a goal by Kerry Dixon.
Last time we had a season similar to this one we won the title the following season under Conte. We will definitely see the real Chelsea next season, we have the players they just need to be moulded into a team.
If ever there was going to be a platform for us to turn things around, I was sure it would be at Tottenham. To say this is concerning is an understatement.
I wasn't over confident about getting a result in this fixture because on their day Leicester can be lethal. However, from the start we controlled the game and were more clinical with our finishing. Great result, we're back on track.
All credit to Sheffield United, they were clinical in their finishing. We had plenty of possession but it’s goals that win matches and we rarely looked like scoring.
On this day 2000 Chelsea were at Wembley to face Aston Villa in the FA Cup Final at Wembley. A goal by Roberto Di Matteo was enough to give Chelsea a 1-0 victory and take the Cup to West London.
At Stamford Bridge on this day in 1955, Chelsea faced Sheffield Wednesday. Two goals by Eric Parsons and a penalty by Peter Sillett gave Chelsea a 3-0 win, which was enough to secure their first League Title, despite losing their final game at Old Trafford.

John Boyle. Midfield. Chelsea 1964-1973
A talented and sometimes fiery Scot. John Boyle signed for Chelsea at the age of 15, making his debut at the age of 18 years 26 days. He made a total of 266 appearances for Chelsea scoring 12 goals.
Brighton did us a favour at Leicester. Just a pity they didn’t convert that penalty. We have to be at our best when we face Manchester City, if we are I believe we will get a result. Have to be positive.
