i find it interesting while dudes calling themselves a 'good christian' or 'family man' is still pretty right wing coded, in isolation basically every kind/compassionate action that society considers 'christian' or 'family' oriented is left wing coded.

@AnonymousLeftie all the more reason to look at job at municipal/county/state gov jobs. most have much more rudimentary job application systems, if they even have one vs just a general e-mail to send a pdf application to.

i will never forget the time i talked about how government work is good money + pension + regular work hours that don't ask too much of you and someone replied with "do you mean 75k or 200k good money" and i said "80k" and they stoppped replying. ftr, 80k is top 27% nationally.

@ET_Californian I'm still shocked, especially because it wasn't a secret. I was a conservative back then and I remember reading on the right wing blogs how important winning the state legislatures to control redistricting was. But when I tell people how it was a plan they give me looks.
