@DavidLammy @sajidjavid I was also stopped as a teenager and as a serving police officer when off duty. The memory of the stop largely depends on circumstances and the manner in which the stop is carried out. Rather like a search at customs,intrusive but necessary.

Ex PC Gerry Wilmott on strictly come dancing-Nicola Adams first boxing coach. I served with him at Tottenham he made a lot of difference to a lot of youths in Harringey and Hackney by taking them off the street and into the Harringey Boxing club. A great guy.

@Woop__Woop If I arrested everyone who called me a ‘black shit’when I was on duty they would have had to build a new prison.When you are on public order duty there is an amount you have to be prepared to take before you deplete your unit & go off with an arrest. SM doesn’t change that.
