At London2012 I volunteered at the tennis (great fun). One morning, my 'job' was to open a door that players walked through. Maybe 40, 50 players came past. Some were busy chatting, most walked by silently, focused. Only one said "thank you, good morning" - that was Andy Murray.

Chelsea's exit from the #WomensFACup confirms that, for the first time in a decade since Liverpool's 2014 WSL title, a club that isn't Arsenal/Chelsea/Man City is now going to win a major women's trophy in England this season. Those three clubs have won 27 in a row between them.

For those who mocked Arsenal for getting knocked out of the #UWCL by Paris FC, the French side's 3-3 draw with 2023 finalists Wolfsburg tonight should give that result a bit more context. Arsenal should still have got the job done, pound-for-pound, but losing was not a disgrace.
